Police are searching for a man who failed to stop at the scene of a crash on the A3 at Wisley last night. At around 9.10pm, a white Nissan sports car was travelling southbound when it crashed into the central reservation. The passenger of the car suffered serious injures and was taken to hospital.

A former Hawaii state worker who sent a false missile alert last month has said he is devastated for causing panic but was "100% sure" at the time that the attack was real. The man in his 50s spoke to reporters on the condition that he not be identified because he fears for his safety after receiving threats.
