| Washington State Ranked Second-Worst State to Drive in Nation Weather conditions were also tracked for their relevance to driving conditions. With our second to last ranking, Washington State had an overall score of 44.08 on a 100 point scale. This compared to Texas at 63.68 which ranked as the best place to drive and Hawaii at 31.83 which ranked dead last.
